Justin Bieber meets Joan Jett dipped in 2000's pop.
After several years gigging as a drummer for various bands, artist/producer Georgia Winter let loose her own dark pop stylings in 2021. With a vocal that strikes a balance between impactful and ethereal, accompanied by burning soundscapes and hard in pocket drums, Winter's ear for gripping hooks in her productions has earned her comparisons to the likes of Chase Atlantic, The Neighbourhood & Tove Lo. 2021 saw releases Like That and Build Me Up, both carrying a signature sound described by BBC Wales’ Adam Walton as “Something quite astonishing”. Following this, in 2022 Winter was shortlisted for BBC introducing live lounge with their single "I Know'.
Born and raised in South Wales, Winter was immersed in 2000’s culture. Nintendo, Spongebob and Justin Timberlake crafted core influences for Winter. Days were sugar coated with the punch of Timbaland’s kick drums and the smooth toplines of Nelly Furtado. These writing styles and production conventions are peppered around Georgia Winter’s tracks, living quietly within a modern dark pop atmosphere. Winter's artistic goal is to create a modern blend of Justin Bieber and Joan Jett with 2000's influences.
Winter went on to lend her production prowess to pop contemporaries Macie Nyah, Finn Doherty and Francesca Guerra, building her reputation as a pop producer and collaborator.
